Ahh fall...the time when everything seems to be dropping: the leaves, the temperature, and maybe even your motivation to study. But have no fear! You can overcome the mid-semester blues by cozying up in some of the best places to study at U-M. Here is our list of favorite spots to study on North Campus:
1. Fireside Cafe: With a modern, yet relaxed feel, Fireside is one of our favorite places to get in the study grind. And with a ton of delicious meal choices available, leaving your study spot to get food is no longer an issue! Did we also mention there was a fireplace? Hello cozy and warm studying.
2. Pierpont Commons Piano Lounge: Looking for a relaxing atmosphere to get in the ‘zone?’ The Piano Lounge in Pierpont Commons is the place for you. Study in a quiet room or take a break to play piano or hang out with friends.
3. Duderstadt Center: For those nights where sleep doesn’t seem to be an option, check out the Dude. Open 24 hours 7 days a week, the North Campus library has tons of open study spaces, printing services, and computer labs. Whether you have a group project or a huge exam to study for, the Dude has got you covered.
4. Pierpont Commons Reflection Room: Although this room is not intended for studying, it is important to take a break and spend some time away from your work. The Reflection Room in Pierpont Commons is perfect for just that! Open for meditation or just quiet reflection, this room is the best way to give your mind a healthy rest from the usual study grind.
