Stop in any of the restaurants or cafes at Pierpont Commons and you will find new items for fall! Commons Café has added eight new sandwiches. The Portabella sandwich is vegetarian friendly. Other new sandwiches include: The Santa Fe Turkey Burger, The Louisiana Po'boy with Andouille sausage, a slow cooked BBQ pork sandwich, the South of the Border, the Greek Town Chicken sandwich, and the Turkey Stacker. In addition to the added sandwich features, the Commons Café salad bar now includes a broccoli and cauliflower salad, tomato mozzarella salad, chili lime quinoa salad, julienne strips of turkey, orzo mushroom salad, garlic chili tofu, fried Santa Fe polenta, edamame salad, orzo pesto salad, tempeh, and a refreshing cucumber salad. In addition, Commons café will continue with some specialty offerings from local restaurants on each day of the week. Stop in this fall at lunchtime to check out a local favorite.
Looking for something quick and flavorful to snack on? U-go's and Mujo's have added True Blue snack items to their selections. You will find a wide variety of treats that allow you to choose from salty or sweet items as well as healthy treats. Blueberry, cherry, raspberry, cinnamon yogurt-covered pretzels, dried fruit and vegetable slices, as well as candy, nuts, and granola are just a few of the items offered. U-go's has added some chef-prepared grab and go salads, sandwiches, vegetables with dip, and hummus & pita to the mix. And be sure to try some of the new specialty pizzas featured at U-go's Pizza Pi including BBQ Chicken, Hawaiian, Buffalo chicken, Chicken Alfredo, Pesto pizza as well as some regulars- meat, cheese, veggie, and the classic pepperoni.
