If you are traveling to and from North Campus late at night, there are several options available to ensure you arrive safely:
Safe Ride - A free service for students, faculty, and staff who live within a one mile radius of campus. This service is available Monday-Sunday from 2:00am - 7:00am. To use this service, an MCard must be presented. Riders can be picked up at the Shapiro Undergraduate Library, the Duderstadt Center, or the Cancer Center. To request a ride, call 734-647-8000.
U-M After Hours Transportation - Several options are available depending on time and need.
Night Ride is a late-night, shared-ride taxi service organized and funded by the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority that operates from 11:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. on weekdays and 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. on weekends. The AATA contracts with Blue Cab to operate the service. The afer is $5.00 per person regardless of length of trip. All Night Ride trips must be scheduled by phone reservation. To book a trip, simply call the special Night Ride service phone number: 734.528.5432.

- Avoid secluded and poorly lit areas, especially shortcuts through parks, vacant lots, and other deserted areas
