Motown Throwdown Coffee Competition

Come to Motown Throwdown at  the Michigan Coffee Conference at Pierpont Commons on May 10, 2012, from 7-9pm. The public is welcome to watch and cheer on local coffee cafe baristas in a specialty drink competition! Watch the art of latte making by the experts! Free refreshments served.

Which Fork Do I Use?

Are you confused over which fork to use when? Do you  want to impress a potential employer? Come to the Business Etiquette Dinner!

The popular Business Etiquette Dinner will be taking place on October 27, 2011, from 5pm to 7pm at Commons Cafe, Pierpont Commons. Be sure to sign up quickly because space is running out!

Pierpont Commons - Your Student Union on North!

Pierpont serves as the main resource center for North Campus featuring a variety of eateries, retail services, meeting and gathering spaces, study areas as well as events and activities from University Unions Arts and Programs. It’s a dynamic place, always adjusting to best serve the needs of the ever growing North Campus community.  Pierpont is home to various vendors and retail operations including a UM Credit Union, ATMs, a bookstore, a convenience store and a variety of food choices. To fuel students as they study, some of the eateries at Pierpont are now open later.

All About University Unions

University Unions is an organization within the Division of Student Affairs offering a variety of services, programs and opportunities for student involvement in The Michigan Union and The Michigan League on Central Campus, and The Pierpont Commons on North Campus. The Unions help connect students, staff, faculty and guests to places where you can meet friends, attend events, grab food, get computer time, study and more. Many student organizations operate out of the Unions - making them a constant hub of activity!

Music Library

Located on the third floor of the Earl V. Moore School of Music Building, the Music Library's collections supports the curriculum of the School of Music in performance, musicology, composition, music theory, music education, and dance. The Music Library has grown from a small departmental collection to a major research library containing monographs, scores, serials, sounds, video recordings, and microforms.

Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library

 Ford Presidential Library

The Ford Presidential Library is located on Beal Avenue, across from the Advanced Technology Lab (near Fuller). The library houses all of Gerald Ford's presidential and post-presidential papers. These include letters, meeting notes and reports as well as items such as personal photos of the Ford family's pets. The library houses special exhibitions, and is used for meetings and conferences for a fee.
